UT Results Jan 13-15

Austin – Along with over 900 swimmers from throughout the state, four members of the Dolphins Swim Team braved the bad weather last weekend (13-15 Jan) and made the trip to the Texas Swim Center for the New Year Classic Swim Meet.

Alec B. showed great form by posting best times in all three events she swam. Her 40.83 in the 50 yard Backstroke was an improvement of nearly 5 seconds and feat she matched with a time of 40.79 in the 50 Butterfly. She also cut 3 seconds off her 100 Individual Medley (IM) time with a 1:30.79 clocking. Kyle B. also dropped time in both of his events with a 59.99 in the 100 yard Freestyle and a 33.10 in 50 Back. Lauren J. posted identical drops of 0.44 in both her events by lowering her 100 IM time to 1:20.77 and improving to 34.88 in the 50 Fly . Taylor B., 8, was the final Dolphin to compete with a 53.25 in the 50 Fly.
Next weekend the younger Dolphins will be competing in Georgetown at a USA Swimming Meet while the high school swimmers will be at HS District Meets in College Station and Killeen representing their schools.
